Vettel

Vettel accompanied his family to a Rally trial in AZ last month and what did they find but another Podengo!  Eve Parris was there with her "Paulo". Paulo is a "big", but the two boys apparently hit it off just fine.

Thanks to Eve and her friends for the photos!

Daz and Daddy

Daz got to meet her father, Andretti and his owner (and Daz's "granny" <g>) Elizabeth last week.

Daz and Etti were both there as observers and met and charmed many throughout the week. Many thanks to my son in law, Andy Martin for getting these shots of the two of them. It wasn't easy to capture, and let's just say the fault was NOT Etti's or Andy's!

New trick!

Daz is learning to wave. We just started yesterday morning. Lianne shot this short clip last evening.

I started by clicking for shifting weight off of the front foot, then lifting, then lifting higher, etc.

New toy!

Of course while at Cynosport last week I had to shop! Got a bed for Daz's new big girl crate, lots of small treats (so hard to find for training tiny dogs) tug toys and more!

I also got  a new clicker I really like!

And a super new chew toy to keep Daz busy!
It starts out looking like this.

But after some time back in the hotel, it was looking  like this.

However, it kept her very happy and occupied for the evening, since Panic had already left (with Lianne and Andy, not on her own. <g>) and Daz was now an "only dog" in the room.

So it is well worth it! I did go back to the Clean Run booth the next day for more refills. <g>

Getting to be a big girl!

Daz will turn 8 mos old later this week and has outgrown her "baby" bed.

So today I put her new crate in place. She seems to be enjoying her "big girl" bed!

Daz  has been enjoying her time here in Louisville, KY. We are here to watch the USDAA Nationals. We start off each morning with a walk around the site where Daz is much admired, "oohed" and "ahhed" over. Apparently I didn't need to bring he food or treats, since she manages to get plenty form the vendors and the exhibitors as she schmoozes them.

We go up to the announcers stand each morning to greet FL friend Brenna Fender who has been keeping everyone at home up to date via Facebook. Brenna even posted a photo of Daz on the USDAA FB page one day.

Big week coming!

Later this week Daz and I will be going to Louisville to watch the last few days of the USDAA Nationals. We'll be there to see lots of great dog and handler teams, including Lianne and Panic, and many Neat pups, as well as lots of other friends and their dogs.

And Daz will get to meet her Daddy, Andretti, and her Granny EE for the very first time!
