Day 9 progress

Yesterday I removed the smaller box within the whelping box, introducing the pups to a bigger world. They stayed pretty close together all day, not moving about much. Today they moved around a little more. They are not walking, by any means, but are slightly more mobile. I was gone for a few hours this evening to teach and run Neat in agility class and I swear they were more active when I got home!

Their eyes are not open yet, but a little less tightly squeezed shut. I hope to see some glimmers of eyeball in the next several days. The ears also appear to be opening up, though the pups are still not hearing.
